Create a unique password for each account
Reusing a password means that one exposed account can put others at risk. This generator creates a random password with your chosen length and character types. Start with a longer value when the service accepts it, then save it in a password manager rather than relying on memory.
Choose at least one character type. The generator includes a character from every selected group and fills the remaining positions using cryptographic randomness available in your browser. Some websites restrict symbols or password length; adjust the options to match their rules.
Good password habits
Keep a different password for every important account and enable multifactor authentication where available. Do not email passwords to yourself or store them in an unprotected document. If a site reports a breach or you suspect account access, change that account's password promptly.
After generating
Copy the password directly into the signup or password-change form, then save it in your password manager before closing the page. Generate a new one if you accidentally share it.
